Acqua di Parma Signatures of the Sun Zafferano

Eau de Parfum from Acqua di Parma’s Signatures of the Sun collection, launched April 2022 ? initially a Harrods exclusive before wider release. The house calls saffron “the ‘red gold’ of perfumery,” the starring ingredient here reimagined with Italian brightness, and describes the fragrance as combining the warm, dry facets of saffron with the luminous notes of Italian golden fruits. Acqua di Parma frames the composition as an olfactory translation of the Venetian terrazzo technique, in which precious materials ? gold, marble, Murano glass ? are brought together as a single object of art. Now Smell This, reporting the launch, notes the saffron is cultivated in Iran and prized for its labour- intensive harvest. Available in 20 ml, 50 ml, 100 ml and 180 ml. Acqua di Parma publishes no gender designation for this fragrance. A separate, more concentrated companion exists: Zafferano Ambrosia, a 30% Extrait de Parfum introduced in September 2025, 50 ml at $390, with its own pyramid (Italian red mandarin, Calabrian bergamot, ginger / saffron, orange flower, jasmine sambac / vanilla, patchouli, amber accord).
