Eau de Parfum from diptyque (Paris, founded 1961), launched 2013 ? a separate, more concentrated composition from the 2005 Do Son Eau de Toilette, not a strength variant of it. Perfumer: Fabrice Pellegrin. Named for Do Son, the seaside resort near Haiphong in northern Vietnam where founder Yves Coueslant spent childhood summers at his father’s pagoda by the sea. Diptyque assigns no gender; Nordstrom and Luckyscent both merchandise it as a women’s fragrance. A full-bodied white floral led by creamy tuberose, with orange blossom giving the opening its lift and jasmine deepening the heart. The amber wood base keeps the drydown warm and rounded rather than green or soapy. Rich and enveloping ? noticeably denser than the Eau de Toilette.
