Eau de Parfum from Kilian Paris. Launched 2007 ? this was the first fragrance Kilian Hennessy created for the house, built deliberately as a gourmand that sidestepped the ethyl-maltol-and-patchouli formula then standard in the category. Perfumer: Calice Becker. Part of The Narcotics collection. Kilian assigns no gender; Nordstrom and Basenotes both list it as a women’s fragrance. Kilian’s own description opens on tender orange blossom absolute, with juicy honeysuckle and plush rose softened by a marshmallow sugar accord over an amber warmth. Now sold in the house’s refillable format; sizes run 7.5 ml, 30 ml, 50 ml, 100 ml, a 250 ml carafe and a 100 ml refill. Note: this entry is the original Eau de Parfum. Kilian also sells Love, don’t be shy Extr?me (an overdose of Bulgarian rose), Love, don’t be shy Eau Fra?che (neroli, rose, musk) and Love, don’t be Shy Amber & Oud as separate products ? do not describe them interchangeably.
