Perfumer: Jacques Cavallier Belletrud, credited by Louis Vuitton as “Master Perfumer.” Part of Louis Vuitton’s Cologne Perfumes collection, alongside Sun Song, Afternoon Swim, California Dream, Pacific Chill and City of Stars ? a collection Louis Vuitton states was composed by Cavallier Belletrud. Louis Vuitton does not publish a top/heart/base pyramid for this fragrance; its own product copy names the materials in sequence: yuzu, moving into neroli, with a veil of cypress. Louis Vuitton’s product page describes it verbatim as: “Yuzu is a burst of bliss on the skin. Its surprising freshness and brightness glides into the softness of neroli, while a veil of cypress brings generous, woody shade to a pure summer day.” The Basenotes directory entry additionally lists thyme, rosemary, pink pepper and cloves among its aromatic herbs. Sold in 100 ml (3.4 fl oz) and 200 ml (6.8 fl oz) sprays; Louis Vuitton offers complimentary engraving and refills at select locations. A bright citrus-and-white-floral summer cologne whose herbal-woody underside keeps it from reading purely sweet. It stays close and clean rather than projecting heavily.
