Acqua di Gi? Eau de Toilette from Giorgio Armani, launched 1996. For men. Armani files it under Fresh Aquatics. The house’s own account traces the fragrance to Pantelleria, the wild, volcanic island between Sicily and Africa, where Giorgio Armani was captivated by the sea and imagined capturing its energy in a masculine fragrance; Armani describes the result as the pure freshness and warmth of the Mediterranean Sea. The line has since grown into a family. Acqua di Gi? for women arrived in 1995, composed by Alberto Morillas, who also signed Acqua di Gi? Essenza (2013), Acqua di Gi? Profumo (2015), Acqua di Gi? Absolu (2018) and Acqua di Gi? Absolu Instinct (2019). Profumo and Absolu are both now listed as discontinued by Armani. Acqua di Gi? Profondo Eau de Parfum followed in 2020 ? Armani builds it on bergamot and green mandarin over a spicy-aromatic heart and a mineral amber base. Armani currently also sells Acqua di Gi? Parfum, Acqua di Gi? Eau de Parfum and Acqua di Gi? Eau de Parfum Intense alongside the original Eau de Toilette. Available in 30 ml ($62), 50 ml ($99), 100 ml ($130), 150 ml refill ($156) and 200 ml ($175).
