Eau de Parfum, launched August 2019. Perfumers: Anne Flipo and Carlos Bena?m. A women’s fragrance; YSL classifies it as floral with spicy accords. The lavender is YSL’s Diva Lavender ? a variety developed for YSL Beauty and grown in Provence on north-facing low-mountain slopes, harvested in July and August and extracted by CO2 fractionation to draw out the warmest, most floral facets; the sourcing is part of YSL’s programme to restore lavender cultivation in France. Now Smell This described Libre at launch as “a gender-bending riff on foug?re,” reworking a traditionally masculine structure. The bottle carries an oversized golden Cassandre logo bent into the glass, gold chains and an asymmetric black lacquered cap, and the refillable format saves 41% glass, 67% metals and 38% plastic against the non-refillable version. Face of the fragrance: Dua Lipa. Sold in 10, 30, 50, 90 and 150 ml, plus a 100 ml refill.
