Description

Eau de Toilette from Burberry, launched 2021. Perfumer: Aur?lien Guichard. The house’s first men’s fragrance under creative director Riccardo Tisci, housed in an angular glass bottle Burberry describes as “an abstract reinterpretation of a horse’s hoof.” For men. Burberry’s own line: “A trio of cedarwood oils, invigorated by juniper and black pepper, brightened with bergamot.” The bergamot opening is short and bright; juniper and black pepper give a green, peppery lift, and the three cedars carry the long dry-down ? dry, resinous and woody rather than sweet. Campaign face: Adam Driver. Available in 50, 100 and 150 ml. Note that Hero is a family, not a single scent: Hero Eau de Parfum sets incense and benzoin over cedarwood oils and pine; Hero Parfum adds amyris and cypriol; Hero Parfum Intense deepens the base with leather; and Hero Elixir, which Burberry calls “our most intense scent,” blends tonka and leathery vanilla with the same cedarwood trio. This entry is the original Eau de Toilette.
