Eau de Parfum from Calvin Klein, launched 1985. Perfumer: Jean Guichard. Calvin Klein describes it as a spicy amber, “a provocative and compelling blend of botanics and rare woods.” For women. A bright citrus opening gives way to a soft herbal- resinous heart of lavender and myrrh over warm musk, sandalwood and patchouli. Rich and long-wearing, with the spice sitting close to the skin rather than sharp on top. The fragrance has been reformulated since its 1985 debut; the notes above are Calvin Klein’s current listing, and period accounts of the original describe a heavier, more animalic composition.
