Parfum from Chanel, launched in 2018. Perfumer: Olivier Polge, Chanel’s In-House Perfumer-Creator and the son of his predecessor Jacques Polge. For men. Chanel calls it “the most intense of the BLEU DE CHANEL fragrances” ? powerful and refined, revealing the essence of independence and determination. It follows the original Bleu de Chanel Eau de Toilette (2010, Jacques Polge) and the Eau de Parfum, also by Olivier Polge; a fourth interpretation, Bleu de Chanel L’Exclusif, joined the line in 2025. Chanel does not publish a full top/heart/base pyramid for the Parfum: an invigorating freshness opens the scent, giving way to the warm fullness of cedar and New Caledonian sandalwood in an intense aromatic-woody accord with a captivating trail. Olivier Polge has described the brief as giving “more space to the sandalwood, to let it fuse with the cedar and fresh top notes,” aiming for intensity balanced with refinement rather than sheer projection. Chanel Bleu de Chanel won Fragrance of the Year ? Men’s Luxury at the 2019 Fragrance Foundation Awards.
