Part of the Nero Collection, the house’s most lavish line, inspired by Emperor Nero’s taste for beauty and excess; the fragrance itself is named for Mercury, the Roman messenger of the gods and patron of wealth, commerce and fortune. Unisex. The house calls it a textured white floral with a sweet tooth, and that reads accurately on skin: bright pink pepper and bergamot up front, then tuberose laid over buttery grey amber, with violet and iris keeping the heart from tipping too sweet. Vanilla, caramel and tonka build a plush base, cashmere wood and cedar smooth it out, and a thread of oud supplies the contrast. Sumptuous and unapologetically rich.
