4711 Acqua Colonia Intense Wakening Woods of Scandinavia ? Eau de Cologne from 4711 (Cologne, Germany; the house’s original formula uses seven main ingredients that 4711 says have remained unchanged since 1792, and the brand name comes from the house number of the M?lhens distillery in Cologne’s Glockengasse). Launched 2019. Perfumer: Geza Sch?n. Unisex. Part of the 4711 Acqua Colonia Intense line, which 4711 describes as “fragrant homages to fascinating landscapes ? intense, complex and unique,” with longer wear than the standard Acqua Colonia eaux de cologne. An aromatic-woody evocation of Scandinavian forests ? “impressive conifers, moss-covered rocks, flowing waters and picturesque lakes” ? over a sparkling citrus-spice opening and a floral heart. The signature is fir absolute, extracted from pine needles and twigs: refined, balsamic and smoky-woody with a slightly fruity edge. Sold in 50 ml, 100 ml and 170 ml.
