Margiela’s own copy: it “evokes the exhilarating atmosphere of a private club where the music and scent of cocktails permeate late into the night,” with “the elegant smoky scent of cigars” and “the warmth of rich whisky, cognac or rum” ? amber rum built from rum absolute and vanilla bean, cigars from tobacco leaf and pink pepper. The Replica flacon is styled on classic apothecary jars, with a cotton label in black ink and a rope- wrapped pump echoing the couture line; the 100 ml is refillable. Notes for staff: the Replica place is Brooklyn, confirmed in house copy ? but the YEAR printed on the cotton label could not be verified from any brand or authorized-retailer source, so do not quote a date.
