Eau de Parfum from Argos Fragrances, launched 2022. Perfumer: Christian Petrovich. Part of the Argos Artist Series I, the house’s Gustav Klimt series, taking its cue from Klimt’s 1898 painting of Pallas Athena, the Greek goddess of wisdom and the arts; the house files it as Floral, Fruity & Spicy and describes it as both romantic and commanding. Unisex. It opens sharp and juicy ? berries and grapefruit lifted by pink peppercorn ? then settles into a full floral heart where peony and rose petals carry the weight. The dry-down is the interesting part: powdery iris over Mysore sandalwood and amber, with vetiver and patchouli keeping it grounded rather than sweet. Opulent, and genuinely wearable by anyone.
