Description

Eau de Parfum from Argos Fragrances, launched 2019. Perfumer: Christian Petrovich. Inspired by Bacchus, the Roman god of wine, ecstasy, theatre and fertility; Argos calls it the house’s best-selling unisex fragrance. Unisex. It opens boozy and bright at once ? a spirituous rum note lifted by saffron, with white peach and green apple keeping the sweetness juicy rather than syrupy. The heart turns darker and more resinous as patchouli and vetiver take hold, and the drydown is the payoff: tobacco, amber, vanilla and Mysore sandalwood in a warm, hedonistic finish. Argos classes it as oriental, spicy, woody and gourmand, long- lasting with moderate to strong projection, and recommends it for fall and winter evenings. Also available as a separate Triumph of Bacchus Extrait de Parfum at 40% oil concentration.
