100 ml, not converted Eau de Parfum from Les Eaux Primordiales, the French house founded in 2015 by Arnaud Poulain; the house styles the name M?CANIQUE INTUITIVE. Composed by Am?lie Bourgeois under Poulain’s direction. Part of the Superclassique collection, which the house describes as “a timeless formula that serves as an absolute reference in its category? inspired by the great classics of 20th century French perfumery,” reinvented “to give them a new radiance marked by audacity and innovation.” The house calls the character “warm, animalic”; Jovoy files it as leathery and ambery. Poulain’s own line: “This aphrodisiac elixir invites us to take a stroll through the salons of a grand Parisian hotel,” and “worn by a man or a woman, its trail will leave no one indifferent.” Apricot-toned osmanthus and black tea over a boozy tobacco-and-rum heart, closing on tonka, vanilla and leather. Notes for staff: the rum is a listed note, so this belongs on the boozy list. Jovoy and Scent Split both add CASTOREUM to the base; the house’s own site does not list it, and the pyramid above follows the house. The house publishes no launch year ? 2016 comes from Scent Split alone ? no gender label, and no bottle description.
