Eau de Parfum from Parfums de Marly, the French maison whose identity is a tribute to the Chevaux de Marly, the horse sculptures commissioned in 1743 by Louis XV from Guillaume Coustou for the entrance of the Ch?teau de Marly. Launched 2016. Categorized by the house as masculine. The maison describes Layton as “elegant, sensual and flamboyant” ? apple’s brightness set against calming lavender and earthy patchouli, an expression of “masculine elegance” for “a confident, stylish and charming man, passionate about life’s finer luxuries,” honoring 18th-century perfumery with contemporary, unexpected accords. Note: this is the Eau de Parfum. Layton Exclusif is a separate parfum-strength fragrance (2017) with a different composition ? bergamot, pink peppercorn, cardamom over geranium, lavender and lavandin, on oud, sandalwood, patchouli and leather.
